In early 2019 Redlands Drilling was contracted by Golders as one of the many Drilling companies to be part of the Inland Rail project. The Hydrapower Scout and its crew left in early April and completed over 5 months work on the Inland Rail alignment G2K section which reaches from Gowrie just west of Toowoomba to Kagaru just north west of Beaudesert. Over this project Redlands Drilling completed holes to depths of 45m including inclined boreholes which led to the purchase of HQ Wireline Coring equipment. Redlands Drilling performed well in sometimes difficult ground, producing great core recovery with some holes having 100% water loss. Redlands Drilling established a great working relationship with the Golder and ARTC teams out onsite and are hopeful of continuing this on future sections of this project.

Working alongside Aussie Hydrovac Services once again Redlands Drilling were contracted in to drill 6 boreholes for an upgrade of the M1 Varsity Lakes intersection. This job insisted of boreholes up to a depth of 35m in some locations. The rock encountered was highly fractured and proved difficult to core resulting in very short runs. Both drill rigs were used
GLADSTONE PORT CALTEX
This job consisted of deep boreholes up to 60m below ground level. Redlands Drilling completed 3 x 60m, 1 x 50m and 1 x 35m boreholes. With time constraints Redlands Drilling worked 7 days a week to accommodate the client. Some of the ground proved difficult to deal with including large boulders and gravel laying above the rock located around
UNDULLAH DAM AND BRIDGE PROJECT
Redlands Drilling have been out to this site twice to drill investigation boreholes. The work consisting of shallow auger and wash bore holes to a maximum depth of 15m and the installation of groundwater instruments. The Hydrapower Scout was used as there was some access issues including a borehole located in a creek bed so the 4WD rig was ideal
